What Holistic covers
This is the category for work on state rather than on tissue. Nothing here is a massage and nothing here is a workout. What these rituals have in common is that they use breath, sound, stillness, attention or gentle guided movement to change how your nervous system is behaving, and most of them are done fully clothed, lying down, with very little visibly happening.
It is also the category where honesty matters most, so we will be plain. Several of these practices have a solid physiological basis in breathing mechanics, vagal tone and the well-documented effects of stillness and undemanding human presence. Others are traditional frameworks whose mechanisms are not established. None of them diagnose, treat or cure medical or psychiatric conditions, and no practitioner working with us will suggest you alter medical treatment. We offer them as wellbeing practices, which is what they are, and they are remarkably effective at that.
How to choose the right ritual
If you want the most structured and physically active option, book Breath Work, or its most immersive form, 9D Breathwork, where conscious connected breathing is layered over a produced multi-dimensional soundtrack through headphones.
For tension held in the body rather than the mind, Nervous System Reset uses TRE, a guided tremor technique, and is the most body-centred option here. For something that requires nothing of you at all, Reiki is an hour of light hands-on contact, fully clothed, and reliably sedative.
For stillness and attention training you can take home, book Meditation. For an entirely passive experience where sound does the work, book a Sound Healing Ritual.
For ceremony and shared occasion rather than private treatment, the Cacao Celebration Ceremony runs two hours and works well for groups, and The Language of Horses is an equine-assisted session that takes place outdoors.
If you have just landed, the Ibiza Arrival Reset is built specifically around travel fatigue. For longer or combined protocols, see Intensive Deep System Reset and Deep System Reset, and for a full programme across a stay, Tailor-Made Retreats.
A short history of the field
The individual traditions are old and unrelated. Rhythmic breath control sits at the centre of yogic pranayama and of contemplative practice across Asia and the Middle East, practised for millennia as a way to change state without changing anything else. Meditation has a similarly deep and multi-stranded history in Buddhist, Hindu, Taoist and Christian contemplative traditions.
Some are surprisingly recent. Reiki was developed by Mikao Usui in Japan in 1922 and reached the West through Hawayo Takata in the late 1930s. Modern therapeutic breathwork took shape in the 1970s, when Leonard Orr formalised Rebirthing and Stanislav and Christina Grof developed Holotropic Breathwork as a drug-free route to non-ordinary states. TRE was developed by the American trauma specialist David Berceli from the 1990s onwards.
What changed in the last twenty years is measurement. Research into heart-rate variability, vagal tone, CO₂ tolerance and interoception gave these practices a shared physiological language, and figures such as Wim Hof carried breathwork into mainstream performance culture. That is why a category that once sat at the fringe now appears in hospitals, sports programmes and corporate health schemes.
How it works in Ibiza
Ibiza has one of the densest concentrations of holistic practitioners in Europe, a legacy of decades of alternative community on the island. The character of the work here is private rather than public: villas, fincas, yachts and retreat houses rather than studio classes with strangers, and very often as the closing element of a longer wellbeing programme.
It also has an extremely wide spread of standards, which matters more in this category than in any other. Every practitioner we work with is trauma-informed where relevant, insured, identity-checked and met in person before taking a booking, and we decline more applicants here than anywhere else on the menu.
Who books this category
People carrying a high cognitive load and very little unstructured time book it most: founders, executives, medics, traders and anyone living in a permanently activated state. Creatives, musicians and DJs use it to work through blocks and to come down cleanly after intense output.
It is widely chosen by people mid-transition — separation, bereavement, relocation, career change, new parenthood — and by those who understand their situation intellectually but still feel it stuck in the body. Couples book it to reconnect without conversation doing all the work. Retreat groups use it as a shared threshold moment. And a great many guests come simply because talking has already been useful and they now want something somatic instead.
Booking, pricing and safety
Rituals in this category start from €175 for sixty minutes, rising to €333 for ninety minutes of 9D Breathwork and €444 for a two-hour combined reset. Choose a date and preferred start time and we match you by modality, language and temperament, holding your card but only charging once a practitioner confirms.
Because several of these practices are deliberately activating, tell us in advance about pregnancy, epilepsy or seizures, cardiovascular conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, glaucoma or retinal detachment, severe asthma, recent surgery, or a personal history of psychosis or bipolar disorder. None of these automatically rules a session out; they change how your practitioner shapes it. See also Touch and Movement.
