What Longevity covers
This is the smallest and most specialised category on our menu, and the one that behaves least like the others. Where Touch, Movement and Holistic are booked by the session, longevity work is booked by consultation: a specialist assesses what you are actually asking for, explains what is realistic, and proposes a protocol. Some of that can be delivered in an afternoon at your villa. Some of it cannot, and we would rather say so at the outset.
Two things sit here. Advanced Facial Aesthetics covers expert-administered facial treatments intended to soften dynamic lines and improve skin quality. Molecular Wellness covers personalised protocols aimed at recovery and healthy ageing, designed around your individual goals and current baseline.
We should be careful about language, because this is a field where a great deal of marketing outruns the evidence. Nothing in this category extends lifespan, reverses ageing or regenerates tissue, and we make no such claim. What good practitioners can do is address specific, visible or measurable things with appropriate treatment, and tell you honestly where the ceiling is.
How to choose, and what to expect
If your interest is how your face looks and feels, start with the aesthetics route. If you would prefer a manual, non-clinical option first, Facial Massage in our Touch category produces genuine short-term change in puffiness, tension and definition with no needles and no downtime, and many guests use it either instead of or alongside clinical treatment.
If your interest is performance, recovery and healthy ageing more broadly, the molecular route begins with a consultation rather than a treatment. Expect questions about your training, sleep, travel, medication and any recent bloodwork, and expect a specialist to tell you which parts of what you have read are worth acting on.
In both cases pricing is set after consultation rather than published as a flat rate, because the protocols genuinely differ between individuals. Contact us with what you are hoping to achieve and we will tell you what is possible on the island and at what cost.
A short history of the field
The idea is very old and the discipline is very new. Attempts to slow ageing run through Chinese alchemy, Ayurvedic rasayana and European humoral medicine, almost all of it wrong. The modern scientific thread begins with Clive McCay's caloric restriction experiments in the 1930s, Leonard Hayflick's discovery in 1961 that cells have a finite division limit, and Elizabeth Blackburn and Carol Greider's work on telomeres and telomerase in the 1980s.
Aesthetic medicine developed separately and largely by accident. Botulinum toxin was approved for eye muscle disorders in 1989, and its cosmetic use followed from clinicians noticing what it did to frown lines; hyaluronic acid fillers arrived commercially in the mid-1990s.
The two converged commercially in the 2010s, when longevity moved from laboratory research into consumer language. That shift produced genuine advances in how ageing is measured, and an enormous quantity of unsupported marketing alongside it. Distinguishing between the two is most of a good practitioner's value.
How it works in Ibiza
Ibiza has become a significant market for private longevity and aesthetic work, driven by a client base that travels with these routines already in place and by an increasing number of guests who treat a stay here as a reset rather than a holiday. Discretion is usually the deciding factor: treatment at a villa or on board rather than in a clinic waiting room.
Standards vary very widely, and this is the category where that matters most. Anything involving a prescription product or a medical device must be delivered by an appropriately licensed professional under Spanish regulation, and we verify credentials, professional registration and insurance for every specialist before they take a booking. Where a request falls outside what can be legitimately delivered privately, we will say no.
Who books this category
Guests who already have an established routine at home form the largest group, looking to maintain it rather than start something. Beyond that: people with a specific event in view, guests who want to look rested after a punishing season, clients in their forties through sixties treating strength, recovery and appearance as one project, and performance-minded travellers who arrive with their own bloodwork and questions.
It also attracts people who are deliberately avoiding clinical settings, either for privacy or because they have found consultations elsewhere rushed and unspecific.
Consultation, pricing and boundaries
Both services begin with a conversation rather than a booking slot, and pricing follows from it. Tell us what you want to address, what you have tried, and any relevant medical history or medication, and we will match you with an appropriately qualified specialist and give you a clear cost before anything is scheduled.
What we will not do is diagnose conditions, advise on prescription medication, or promise outcomes that no practitioner can deliver. For treatments with a broader wellbeing focus, see Touch, Movement and Holistic.
